Lesson times
Once a week, at a time that suits you
SorobanCalligraphy
Once a week, 60 minutes (42 lessons a year)
Lessons are basically 16:10–18:30, and children come at any time within these hours.
⚠️ Some classrooms start at 15:40, so please contact our head office for details.
Art
Once a week, 80 minutes (42 lessons a year)
First session 16:00–17:20 / Second session 17:30–18:50

When brothers and sisters join, there is no enrollment fee from the second child. Materials fees are charged separately.

How to enroll
From the trial lesson to the first class

Book a free trial lesson
If you already know which classroom you want: please apply for a “free trial lesson” using the form on this website, by phone, or through our official LINE account. Our head office staff will confirm your booking.
If you have not chosen a classroom yet: please check the locations on Find a classroom. If you are not sure, call us (0120-39-3836) and we will help you find one.
Once your booking is set, our head office staff will tell you the exact date and time, the classroom location, and what to bring.

Trial lesson (about 20 minutes for soroban and calligraphy, 40 minutes for art)
Your child takes a trial lesson at the classroom. Soroban and calligraphy: free, about 20 minutes; just bring writing supplies (pencils). Art: 40 minutes, ¥1,000 (paid in cash on the day; if you apply to enroll within one week of the trial, ¥1,000 is taken off the first fees), and there is nothing in particular to bring. We use acrylic paints, so please come in clothes that can get dirty.
While your child is trying the lesson, we ask parents to read through the documents and fill in the trial application form.

If you would like to join, please contact our head office through the official LINE account or by phone. Our staff will explain the next steps.

Lessons begin
Your child starts lessons at the classroom where they took the trial. On the lesson day, the teacher will give you the necessary documents.
- Credit card: complete the payment through the two payment emails (one for the first costs and one for tuition)
- Bank account direct debit: a direct debit request form (payments are withdrawn from the third month), and a postal payment slip (for the enrollment fee, the first two months’ tuition, the materials fee, etc.)
We ask every student to register on our official LINE account. We use it to send notices about closures (for example, because of a typhoon) and news from the school.

Taking a break
If you tell us by the 10th of the month, your child can take a break from the following month (up to 3 months). No enrollment fee is needed when your child returns.
Leaving the school
The deadline is the 10th of each month. If you tell us by the 10th, your child leaves at the end of that month; from the 11th on, at the end of the following month.
Start with a free trial lesson
Soroban and calligraphy trial lessons are free (about 20 minutes; just bring something to write with). The art trial lesson is 40 minutes and costs ¥1,000 (nothing to bring). Come with your child and see the feel of the classroom and how well the teacher suits your child.
